Project Choices

Your job is to create a moving and educational presentation on one of the topics below.

  • Your presentation must include some visuals to show the class.
  • Your presentation must last between 10 and 15 minutes.
  • Your presentation must include facts, but must NOT be boring!  This is a Number One criteria!  Make your audience feel and appreciate the topic.  All of these topics are full of emotional meaning.  Use photographs, music; use the tone of your voice; create a play or skit; do something that brings that emotion and feeling of the topic across.

You’ll have one part of a lesson in the library.

The Topics:

1)   The Scottsboro Boys

2)   Emmett Till

3)   The Trenton Six

4)   The Freedom Rides (also: The Freedom Riders)

5)   Freedom Summer (Also: Goodman, Schwerner, Chaney) (Also: Medgar Evers)
